The specially designed PPH hemorrhoidopexy dilator is inserted into the anal canal. It is then secured to the skin with suture.
With the PPH hemorrhoidopexy anoscope inserted through the dilator, a circumferential purse-string is then carefully placed at the correct depth and thickness including both mucosa and submucosa.
The anoscope is then removed and the PPH stapling device is inserted past the purse-string.
The PPH hemorrhoidopexy stapler is then tightened by rotating the knob at its end. Note how the enlarged internal hemorrhoids are being pulled into the stapler.
The PPH stapler is then fired and removed. The staple line is then re-examined and watched for bleeding.
